Communication + Visualisation Chosen Project

I choose the Siemens Crystal building for my final building. I decided to do this building because after researching further into the building, i discovered that the crystal building is one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in Europe. The building is split in two, one side is for meetings and work, and the other side is the largest urban sustainable exhibition. This was the key factor that caught my eye about the building. Even though the crystal is aesthetically beautiful, with its modern, sharp, angled faces, the sustainability and the message behind the building and exhibition was what I want to express.
There was a specific part in the exhibition which showed how the crystal is sustainable, and how it was a plan off a "new design for our futures cities". This idea is that in the future more buildings will be built like the crystal, for example like the Canary Wharf area, there are a lot large buildings which use a lot of energy. The crystal building generates its own electricity which at the moment goes back into the national grid, but the idea is that if the buildings in Canary Wharf were built like the crystal, they will generate their own electricity and the energy that they don't need they will send between themselves, creating the own new electrical grid.

Below are my 2D and 3D interpretation of the message that the crystal is trying to create.
Below are scale sketch up drawings off the buildings which I am going to use in my model. I was looking to use the paper printing system to create very detail models, however the system was not working and I had to use change my design slightly, but I still feel I was able to create the message of the Crystal.
