Reddit 'Community Centre' Logo | Typography Project
This project that began in late January was based around the idea of creating a parody-based logotype of the social media/news website Reddit that can then be applied to a plaque, along with a few other changes, to help give the impression that Reddit itself has expanded further into opening community centres, where users can get together in person, as opposed to sole digital communication.

As you will see, the logo for Reddit itself has been redesigned with a whole new visual direction that includes a bolder sans-serif font, an overlaying speech bubble that includes the ‘r/’ parameter (a way that helps users search for the content they are looking for), an alteration in the colour shades present in the original design, and a lighting gradient that adds further depth to the way the logo itself is being “aesthetically presented”.

For the display mockup, I decided to go with positioning the plaque against a brick wall with the inclusion of a silhouette of a group member, in this case a young person as depicted by the backpack and overall build and stature, seen walking past the plaque itself.

So, be sure to tell me what you think in the comment section below!

This is a non-commercial project.
