Brief: To design a typeface based on insights from an anonymous questionnaire.
Glitch is based on a person constantly striving for control. The pressure of juggling of everything will eventually become too much and cause you to crack under the strain.
Light
With increasing weights (light, medium and heavy), the typeface becomes more ‘glitched’ as the pressure causes it to deform.
Medium
The style of the typeface in influenced by the person’s interests in computer gadgets, technology and code. The person in my booklet seems to be a perfectionist who loves detail and minimalism. Therefore, the typeface is derived from Helvetica, which is based entirely on rationality and many people regard to be the perfect font.
Heavy
Each character is misshapen with the exact same method, reflecting the control the person is always seeking.
