IN THE WORLD OF WISE THOUGHTS

A lot of sages and simply great people left us with a lot of wise thoughts for all occasions. In each house a plump book was previously stored under the promising title "In the world of intelligent thoughts." Deep minds of all times advised, taught, instructed.
The advantage of literature (as well as its lack) is the length in time. Even the utterance can be quite long and capacious in terms of its semantic load, which is difficult for the reader to perceive. The picture, in turn, causes an instant reaction of the viewer, it is colorful and emotional, it is like music instantly, conveying the mood and thought of the author. It turns out like a color opera without time needed for the duration of the opera.
This new series of works is testing the possibility of working on such a libretto in the artistic transmission of capacious literary utterances.
The artist turns to different directions in painting, using recognizable images of the of contemporary art, cultural attributes of different peoples (including ancient Egyptian motifs and iconography). Manipulating with such diverse images, the artist "collects" the illustration to the literary statement. In a sense, using the method of Chinese literacy, where each image is a hieroglyph, it is selected to the next image, forming an overall picture of the utterance. Recognizable images - historical, literary, folklore, borrowed from the classics of contemporary art - work as universal language for creating new meanings and conveying the author's ideas.
