“Sitting is Killing You” article discuses sitting too much is detrimental to our health. As designers and other artists who sit a lot for their work really perked my interest. The end product was to have a full page illustration to work with the text.

Conceptual the full page illustration used the art principle repetition to drill in the idea of people sit in almost every aspect of their life. Each person is either a man or women dressed differently and holding a shopping bag or briefcase to show that it can effect anyone. In the other imagery a skeleton was chosen to fit the idea sitting can send a person to an early grave while the last one is of people standing.

The thematic treatment uses muted tones to contrast with a vibrant active lifestyle which is
healthier for a person than sitting for long hours or too much. Blue was the main color for the people to show sitting a lot is not a happy thing. Narrow typeface was the end choice to mimic the feet of chairs.
