Set of silk Scarfs

These scarfs were designed using Tibetan Buddhist symbols, the art works were created in Gangtok, for the brand Sikkimis, at the Echostream studio. These patterns created using various facets of thanka, tangkasnet or tanka art which is originally a Tibetan Buddhist painting on cotton, silk appliqué, or human skin usually depicting a Buddhist deity, scene, or mandala.

The patterns created here are designed using symbols and imagery inspired by the thanka art form,
but these are not traditional stories and have no symbolic meaning.
These patterns are simply my tribute to the extremely beautiful and serene Sikkimese landscape.

THANK YOU!
