Topographia Hibernica - Of the Wonders and Miracles of Ireland
Topographia Hibernica ("Top Hib") is a Short Film Series being made in Ireland through 2017 and 2018. This fantastical history is inspired by the writing of 12th century visitor to Ireland Giraldus Cambrensis. Each film tells a different story, some comical, some bizarre, some outrageous and some fantastical but according to Giraldus they are all true!
Episode 1 below is the story of Giraldus's first encounter with the natives. Giraldus is bringing religion and civilization but that is not how the natives see things.
