When i began branding this company i knew that i wanted to somehow tie together the meaning of the word in a subtle way into the Logo which i did by creating a hatchet in the empty space of the lowercase A and having the red color on the bottom left of the A represent Blood.  Altogether the final Logo design was a huge hit with the client.
