Objectification Series

With the rise of various women's movements and increasing conversations on feminism, I was inspired to create a persuasive poster series that communicates the concept of objectification. I had heard it misused so many times and I needed to express my own viewpoint on the matter.

Objectification by definition occurs when people are treated as objects, essentially ignoring their humanity. When women and men are treated as if their only value is in their abilities and actions, objectification is the result.
The chosen angle for the poster series highlights how women are more than their perceived roles, referencing common stereotypes of women as kitchen keepers, baby makers, and trophy wives. While women who fulfill these positions are totally appreciated and admired in many ways, it remains necessary to recognize that people overall are more than just the responsibilities they manage. They remain full people, with dreams and ambitions and life outside household duties alone.
