Redesigning the Ice Cream Scoop

This project was about redesigning the classic ice cream scoop through thorough user testing to create something more ergonomic for parents and children.

My initial thumbnails focused on redesigning the scoop shape to dig into hard ice cream more effectively to therefore make it easier to use.

I created a variety of prototypes for my new scoop ideas and used polymorph to reinforce the material so it could be tested thoroughly. 

This is the final render of my final design, the corners cut effectively into harder ice cream and reduce pressure required by users to scoop out their ice cream.
