officeTwelve is proud to have collaborated with Nike to create and implement a new retail concept for the running specialist retailer, Runners Need. Drawing on the key elements of Nike’s retail presentation of its running category, the concept offers a cohesive and seamless integration of a bespoke Nike area within the overall store concept. Bleacher wood and dark steel combined with feature lighting make up the core materials palette, differentiating between the Nike specific areas through an alternative finish to the bleacher timber and a clear navigation and branding hierarchy. A running track applied to the rubber floor guides customers through the varying product areas to the gait analysis space, with large scale imagery and focal displays for key product and seasonal messages. officeTwelve designed, developed and built the bespoke fixture system which offers maximum flexibility for merchandising apparel and footwear, nutrition and accessories. High and low level storage has been integrated throughout the store together with seating for trying on footwear. London based Runners Need stores, Strype Street and Southwark Bridge are the first to launch the new concept, with plans for more to follow.
