Perceptions of Colour

Sensory Perceptions of Colour is a 16-page publication featuring six poems generated from the survey responses of 40 individuals who were asked for their sensory responses to colours, aside from the visual. The purpose of this publication is to answer the question “How do you describe a colour to somebody who cannot see it?”

It is printed on two different stocks, one of them transparent, to add to the confusion of the subject matter. The coloured images throughout the publication use the after-image phenomenon, so that the real colour being described will continue in the viewer’s vision after the exposure to the original image has ended. It is designed to be visually interesting to both fully sighted and colourblind viewers.
