Emerald Expositions is a trade show company based in San Juan Capistrano. Under Emerald Expositions are a number of brands that represent the different trade show divisions, one of them being Outdoor Retailer.
I served as a freelance Marketing Coordinator under the Art & Marketing Directors, I developed compelling email campaigns and print materials in preparation for the 2016 Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, which currently holds the title of the largest outdoor exhibition in the U.S. I was commissioned to create a variety of print and marketing materials such as directional signage, sales brochures and on-site programs to be used at Emerald Exposition's various trade shows.
My passion for design and enthusiasm for learning a new marketing technique helped Emerald Expositions in meeting their print and marketing deadlines early, saving them both time and money.
Responsive Email Design & Development
I created a variety of responsive HTML e-mails to promote the November release of Outdoor Retailer Magazine as well as to promote the 2016 Outdoor Retailer Winter Market. Having no previous experience coding responsive e-mails, my background in web design and development coupled with my affinity for layout and typography, made for an easy transition into e-mail marketing.
'16 Inspiration Awards Show Program
I was assigned the task of designing the program booklet for the '16 Outdoor Inspiration Awards Show, in which I was given creative control from concept to completion. The program highlights the achievements of Jansport owner and creator, Skip Yowell.
