The Dragon in the History
Here one of the three books designed and bound for an exam at the Fine Art Academy, "Art Publishing". The second one that i created is "The Dragon in the History". I used the works realize with the engraving technique (check my poject "There's a dragon in my ink!") and drawings made with a black pen. This book collect myths and legends of all the culture around the figure of the dragon. For the bonding i used the Medieval bonding technique on hardcover, that i coated with a special rough paper. I added a magnetic lock and a key to give the look of an ancient book with hinge.
At the beginning of every chapter there is an engraving from my coordinated work of engraving technique. I used medieval fonts and a layout that leaves lot of space between the text and the edges, due to recall the style of ancient medieval books.
