(1) Teapot and (2) teacups set

For this teapot I combined two pinch pots. I coiled the foot and handle. The lid was created with hand building, I had difficulty with the spout but found that coiling and shoving a pin tool through it was the most effective method. I glazed the lid with butterscotch and satin black. I wanted to do a pattern with the glazing for the base and that was also difficult. I originally wanted to do black and red so the red stood out but in order to do that I would have to glaze the pattern first. I did the pattern first and just decided to do a light gray all over since black would've been more difficult to. As I did this the red began to disappear so I had to go over the pattern more times. The glazes used were Satin black. light gray, brick red, dandelion yellow, and butterscotch.
This teacup was made with a pinch pot and hand building. In order to capture an expression I carved out the face and used pieces of clay to add a 3d effect.I used a flattened piece of clay to make eyebrows/forehead for the monster face. The eyes, mouth, and nose were carved using a circular ribbon tool. I glazed the whole piece with frog green which was inspired by the concept of a green Frankenstein's monster. The eyes were glazed with silver lining and coal black. Inside the nose and mouth was glazed coal black. The teacup is glazed a brick red. I like the overall construction of this piece. I wished I chose a lighter green for this as I'm not a fan of how dark this green looks right now.
This teacup was made with a pinch pot. I coiled the foot and handle. I let the piece dry a bit before using a ribbon tool and pin too to carve out the face. I used light gray and satin black to glaze this. I liked how the overall piece is glossy and the eyes and nose are matte. I like how this piece turned out, carving the face turned out better than I expected. The glazing could've been better as it looks a bit spotty.
This is what I used as inspiration and refrence for the lid of the teacup.
