Based the mothership on the Man O’War (marine creature, not the warships). The scanners picked up a friendly signal from a SPS vessel. It was the gigantic mothership The Odyssey. Within it, an entire fleet docked and it had its own R&D quarters.
Admiral Pingouin ordered the prisioners to be transferred immediately but was informed some of them were already doing great progress, except some of the officers. Their leader had tried to escape several times but his own crew caught him after he once tried to kill his own to distract the Penguins. The Admiral was impress with their success against a much larger force and put his entire ship’s resources at their disposal.
He also introduced the to the two young and promising cadets, Pingu & Mini Pingu, who picked up the distress signals in prototype fighters of their own design. They were thrilled to be offered a place to get more survival training in and uncharted planet as well as hands on R&D experience.
Captain Swiftbreeze planned to set up a colony in the planet. The Admiral offered to build a space station for faster traveling as well as communication. Con decorations and promotions were awarded too. The wounded received top medical treatment and those blinded were treated and their eyes regenerated with state of the art technology from the Odyssey. Technology that was also made available for the future colony.
