Illustration for an essay written by John Freeman—“Giovanni’s Room” for the 
Fall 16 Issue of DoR Magazine in Romania. The story has the novel written by James 
Baldwin as a central theme while portraying the interesting life of a young man starting 
his early journey in Manhattan. The essay is translated into Romanian by Lavinia Gliga.
