Drew inspiration for the Dino-mom from Todd Lockwood’s dragons.
The Penguins ran into a group of Seagulls that proved harder to handle than expected. Cadette Black Beak’s prototype drones glitched and hovered in the air scouting the terrain and transmitting.
The Seagulls closed in, the "Troglodytes" were able to knock out a few of them but they were outmatched and outnumbered. The Seagull's in their Crab Tanks caught little Monosaur by the tail making him scream loudly in pain.
Suddenly, a loud roar echoed over the valley and out with the new day’s light, a giant version of Monosaur came charging from the forest, tearing down the crab tanks as if they were nuts in a cracker.
A few bites later, pieces of shattered metal and chewed feathers were scattered around. A mother was reunited with her lost hatchling, but not without injury. Monosaur ran to his mother and seemed to calm her down.
The Space Penguins were shocked, but spared from the mother’s fury by Monosaur’s intervention, set themselves to tend to her wounds, find food and tie up the few remaining seagulls...
