Microwave Interface - Microinteractions

Above is the current state diagram of my microwave. As you can see, there are a large amount of presets that mostly take the same input to get the same result. This causes the microwave to be unnecessarily cluttered for a device so simple.
Above is the future state diagram for my new design. As you can see, there are far less unnecessary functions. I researched actual usage of the extra functions and found that the four I left were the only ones anyone really used, and some of them weren't used much at that. While I wanted to simplify the functionality, I didn't want to take anything away that anyone actually used. I also added a silent mode, which you will find more about below.
This is my new design for the microwave panel. This interface is digital, and it is much easier to see and use.
This is silent mode. You can enable it through the main screen, and the information bubble will only appear the first time the user enables it, as it is assumed the user understands the function afterwards. This mode turns off the audio feedback and relies on visual, pulsing lights. This is very useful when it is late at night and you are trying to be quiet, or if you simply do not like the microwave beeping sounds.
