I had a spare day and materials so I made what I guess is a steampunk inspired floodlight. It has part of a belt as the handle and a fan cooled internal heat sink for the three 200 lumen LEDs. The power source is a Li-ion battery built from recycled Macbook cells.

The shape of the floodlight was largely determined by the shapes of scrape wood I had to work with and the desire to make the light reasonably compact.

The fan pulls air in from the back of the light through a brass mesh and pushes it through the heat sink before venting it out the top of the light assembly.
