Wildside Exotic Piercing is a piercing shop located in Rochester, New York. They were looking for a new website to help in advertising and marketing their shop to locals.
The resulting design takes the brand in a new direction, looking at echoing the concept of a piercing through circular design motifs, and taking inspiration from flora and fauna found in tropical rain-forests for the color scheming.

To begin, sketches for the UI were drafted in order to get a feel for how the final product would be laid out and hash out any potential trouble areas before committing to a design. It was in this phase that the circular motifs started to come up more often, acting as a focal point of the designs.
The mobile version of the site utilizes a circular navigation button that expands when tapped. Each page is separated into two to four sections, with the color alternating in a tri-tone monochrome design - that is, each slide is a monochrome design within a triad color palette.
The home-page features a feed that links directly to the shop's Instagram, showing the most recent photos uploaded to the profile. This was to complement the very visual aspect of a piercing shop, where all of the work is done in order to be seen more than anything else.
In a similar vein, the piercings page was created to showcase the types of piercings done at Wildside Exotic Piercing, with the design meant to bring the piercing itself to the forefront while keeping the information about it available.
