the ferrari leads the pack as the final hour of the race begins. this is p1-p4 taking the final infield turn. amazing how close they were after 23 hours of racing.
i was extremely excited to see a pair of acura's racing this year. the new nsx.
good 'ol prosche
it took several laps to get the photo of this car just right. traveling at 150+ mph made it tricky. the dark "ring" around the car is no editing effect, it is the chain link fence I was shooting behind. making sure the car was centered in frame was key to make the effect look right and not alter the car. my absolute favorite part about this shot, aside from the colors, is the drivers hands on the race wheel.
standing from the start/ finish line, this is 4 photos put together for a panorama. fans get to enjoy the track and infield just prior to the beginning of the race.
it took a few laps in order to get a shot with the American flag waving as at least two cars came by below.
