Проект «Литургия»
«Бог же не есть Бог мертвых, но живых, ибо у Него все живы» (Лк. 20:38)
Мы существуем вне времени – в прошлом, настоящем и будущем. Мы живем неотделимо от памяти – о тех, кого больше нет среди нас –подготавливая пространство для тех, кто придет после. Поколение питает поколение. Живая память о мёртвых, идея их трансцендентного присутствия в каждом мгновении нашей жизни – это способ борьбы с тем, чего мы боимся больше всего – уйти в никуда. Память о мёртвых, память о предках – это история. Она как бесконечное полотно, что плетется одновременно с разных концов – вчера, сегодня и завтра – из судеб-нитей ушедших, живущих и тех, кто ещё не жил, давая нам веру в собственное бессмертие. Ткань бытия – семьи, города, народа, человечества.
Черниговское кладбище «Яцево» - крупнейшее в городе – насчитывает на своей территории более 100 тысяч захоронений. Это треть от фактического населения Чернигова. Огромный город мёртвых, существующий бок о бок с городом живых. Место застывшей истории, где ткань её полотна уже ороговела, а нити плотно сцеплены между собой. Перечитывать имена на надгробных памятниках – значит стежок за стежком перебирать его историю. Поминать ушедших, называя по имени, значит возвращать их к телесности, восстанавливать их во плоти. Названное обретает жизнь. В своем проекте я проникаю в ткань истории города со стороны прошлого, сплетая его из имен тысяч предков нынешних жителей Чернигова, похороненных на кладбище «Яцево». Я предлагаю зрителю прочесть все имена одно за другим, перебрать ткань с самой основы. Оживить и вспомнить – называнием по имени. Как священник поминает на литургии усопших, читая имена на церковных записках за упокой, сохраняя тем самым их телесность, их присутствие, не давая памяти о них исчезнуть, не давая ткани истории расплестись – вне времени, в прошлом, настоящем и будущем.

We exist outside of time - in the past, present and future. We live inseparable from the memory - of those who are no longer among us, preparing the space for those who will come after. Generation feeds the generation. A living memory of the dead, the idea of their transcendental presence in every moment of our lives is the way to combat what we fear most - to go nowhere. The memory of the dead, the memory of the ancestors is history. It is like an endless canvas, which is trailing simultaneously from different ends - yesterday, today and tomorrow - from the threads of the departed, the living and those who have not lived, giving us faith in our own immortality. The fabric of being - family, city, people, humanity.
Chernigiv cemetery «Yatsevo» - the largest in the city - has more than 100 thousand burials on its territory. This is a third of the actual population of Chernigov. A huge city of the dead, existing side by side with the city of the living. The place of the frozen history, where the fabric of her canvas has already become cornificated, and the threads are tightly interlocked.
