For this project I chose to look at the theme ofabsence, and particularly a house in Jordanstown, an old school building whichhas been abandoned as the result of an extensive fire, and left to deterioratethroughout the years. Absent of the life, the children’s laughter and thecharacter that this building used to be home to, and left as no more than a crumbling,charred death trap. I decided to document the signs of life which where once present,and had been left buried inside the ruins of the house, from the rusted panhanging in the smoke stained kitchen, to the teddy bear, patiently waiting forits owner to return. To document what was once such a beautiful building, andnow complete forgotten, apart from the odd curious and courageous visitor.
