Nowadays, busy work and hard life make people stressful and tried, especially someone who work indoor, such as office workers, Soho people, and computer users. Most of time they stay far away from nature, the sunshine, the fresh air, and the green. They become sensitive, nervous and unhealthy. Pu'Er Tea Company is an international seller who sells Chinese pu-er tea and related products. Its main philosophy is also a idea of Chinese tea culture — the relationship between human and nature, human and environment.
DESIGN SOLUTION
"The closer you stay to nature, the more you will appreciate her beauty." Based on the main philosophy of Pu'Er Tea Company, this project focused on making people closer to the nature.
The creative challenge is how to design the structure of whole package which could save space and be statable, and the obstacles are searching the recyclable materials and methods which make the case and the boxes reusable and design multifunctional.
The inspiration got from the concept of Prof. Scott Boylston about sustainable packaging design. In order to match the philosophy of the company, the design is simple & clear, organic & healthy, recyclable & reusable, and multifunctional.
The multifunctional main case can be a lamp cover to cover the light set, the interial packaging boxes can be re-used as office applies containers, and the tea bags can pack pins or clips. The cup package like a chair can stand for the plant bottle. 5 x 5 x 15 inches medium gift packaging dimension is easy to carry.
High technological laser-cut was used for less print and less pollution, and the use of recyclable Materials: vellum paper, illustration board, chip board was goal for matching the concept.
