East Philly Industries Logo

The East Philly Industries logo was a labor of love, so to speak. Growing up in Philadelphia, Robert Indiana's Love sculpture was a standout piece of art in the City of Brotherly Love. I was a born graphic designer and was naturally drawn to its bold lettering and graphic shapes. The font I selected here is certainly a nod to Indiana's work, and the S and T in the word EAST evoke the beginnings of a heart. Though I've moved my physical space to Bucks County, a suburb of the city, my roots have always been in Philadelphia.

The name East Philly arose from the location of my my childhood home which was situated at the very eastern part of the city, and state for that matter, in a large section called Northeast Philly. There is no actual East Philly, but you couldn't get any more east than where we lived unless you wanted to be in the Delaware River, New Jersey or other points eastward.
