Having visited Brighton regularly as a child, Inever came across the area known as TheLanes. Upon discovering this area recently became fascinated with it. With the history,the surroundings, the smells and thequirkiness. The quaintness of the area drewme in even more, and I loved finding outvarious information by visiting multiple times.


Ifelt this suited my Visual Research Project.My final piece is a book, I decided to combinemy photography along with the history andimages of how The Lanes used to look like.These factors have created some interestingspreads and I believe that with the addition ofquotes my book has really been tied togetherto create something interesting and unique.

I used various different materials in the making of this book, I felt that the different paper stocks added more depth to the book. The tracing paper and lining paper work well within this concept.
