My project comprises a series of three short movies based on genuine fake news stories that happened around the world, and illustrates the lethal consequences of fake news.
By screening these movies, I am endeavoring to arouse the comprehension of the dangers inherent in fake news, and force people to think for themselves, to raise doubts and not to believe in everything they may hear.

In the United States, during Pizzagate, fake news was spread that Hillary Clinton and the US government were managing a pedophile ring and sexually abusing young children in a pizza parlor. Due to this fake news, an individual went out with a gun and took the law into his hands, shooting indiscriminately.

In India, the government issued new currency, and fake news spread that in the new bills were GPS chips that allowed the government to follow all that citizens were doing. Due to this fake news, thousands of citizens took to the streets and there were violent demonstrations.

In Israel, during the 2015 elections, Prime Minister Netanyahu spread fake news, claiming that the Arabs were going to the polls en masse and voting. Due to this fake news and his veiled threat, he succeeded in winning the elections, forming a governing coalition and raised the level of hatred and prejudice toward the Arab population.
