YOU ARE YOUR OWN MESSIAH

YOU ARE YOUR OWN MESSIAH

We all have been there and done that – rolled in the lush green lawns of self-pity. And if that was not enough, a colleague or loved ones would rush towards you with an “I am a victim” play card and there you go, the spiral downfall of apparent bullshit starts again.
Now the fact is that is just the trailer, let’s not even talk about the “movie”! So, how do you save yourself from all that is absolutely unessential in life?

“Why cannot people gather enough sense to help themselves? Ain’t that basic? Only this much for the survival instinct that we inherited, eh?” – You might think, right?
As always, books have helped me to figure out a way around that dilemma as well – be selective and be your own Messiah!

It is one thing to believe the gaga of “I will always be there for you!” and one thing to sip a cup of coffee all alone while surviving the attacks of life. Nobody is wholly going to be around to save you or your ass, so the option is only to understand yourself better and be quick enough to fathom that you are on your own, at the end of the day – personally or professionally.

That being said, the more you mind your business and help people without any tags of expectations attached the more you save yourself from noise, heartbreaks, and regrets. Works, right? It does for me after several trials and errors.

Does that sound a bit detached? Not so rainbows and unicorns? Well, yes. But, if it helps why not try?

It is easy to slip on the glossy road of gossips, bad mouthing, vested interests, ethical concessions and so on but if you learn to become your own Messiah you wouldn’t regret the fact of not having your life in your own hands.

Trust me, a zillion humans live with the regret of not saving themselves from nonsense in the good days of their life. That has cost them, that’s what their stories tell me.

So, we might become a good exception, what say? Save yourself?
