For this project we had to create a fashion piece by only using recycled materials. With my group, we decided to incorporate the crochet technique we had just learn to produce the garment. There were lots of electronics and chords in the recycling center and since this waste is not recycled easily we decided to repurpose it. By pealing the outer plastic coat of the chords we obtained the copper wires that conduct the electricity and with them we created the top part of the dress. For the denim belt, these scraps were found in the fashion building of our school and attached to one another to create a longer string that we later crotched. For the bottom part we utilized an old piece of white denim that one of my team mates had.
