Below is the arcade box top and hardware enclosure I used for extrapolating dimensions and getting an approximate size and location of where buttons and joysticks would go.
I kept in close contact with the client while coming up with the color scheme, texture, and character placement and design. We had only started to discuss which video game universes they wanted to pull from, and that list started to grow exponentially the more I developed the image.
I went through several iterations and the client really liked swapping out Cloud from Final Fantasy for Duke Nukem as the centerpiece in the arrangement. I was also trying orientation ideas since there were going to be up to 4 players potentially playing in a circular orientation around the arcade.
Vinyl Wrap was also included on the enclosure itself underneath the arcade top. Wrapping from back to front, the mini characters line the back of the box, while levels from Super Mario and Castlevania wrap around the sides and front panels of the enclosure.
