Many cultures have legends and lore of the otherworldly raven.
The Norse god Odin was said to have two ravens that flew the world and returned nightly as his messengers. Named Thought and Memory, they were the key to his omniscience. This painting was created as a smaller study for a plaster painting. The original has been purchased. I do take commissions and can closely recreate a similar piece. There are also prints available.
