Save Water Cape Town - Public Service Cause

Print, Radio and Digital Campaign
Save Water Cape Town
The Brief:
Conceptualise, write and design a multi-media campaign for a public service cause.

Insight:
Most people don't know the amount of water they use in a day, which means they are unaware of their wastage.
When there is no water left, they will look for someone to blame, or someone to call to fix the problem, as if it is impossible for there to be no water.

Concept:
I created the Zombie Water Virus. I said that there is a virus in the water, and it has started the Zombie-pocalypse.
People have spent more time thinking about what they will do in the event of a zombie attack, than what they will do if the water runs out.
I likened the human behaviour of 'wasting water without thinking', to that of a zombie mentality.

Radio
Top and Tail Billboard
The top and tail billboard warns listeners that there is a virus in the water, and the Zombie-pocalypse is imminent.
Listeners are prompted to go to our social media pages to get further information on how to decrease their water usage and prevent infection.
60" Feature Radio Advert
A radio host interviews a doctor at Cape Town’s Disease Control for further information about the virus. We hear a few eye-witness accounts from people who have been affected.
