The purpose of this project was to create a PSA Public Service Announcement for a relevant topic.  The topic I chose is driving under the influence, which I named it “Buzzed Driving”.  Below are three posters sharing the common theme of this PSA. The posters were designed in Adobe Illustrator, and contain graphics and typography using the same program.

This campaign targets those who think, it’s okay to have ‘a couple’ of drinks before driving.  As I conducted a research I found that there is a large number of casualties’ everyday caused by driving drunk.  By drinking and driving, people risk their lives, their passengers, and those who are on the road.

Process

1.  The first step was a research of public service campaigns, which were documented.

2.  Selected a topic I felt strongly about it which, I used for my PSA posters.

3.  Sketches to explore the topic I chose. Explored ideas by doing hand sketches and digital sketches.

4.  The posters needed to have similar visual style but communicate the message with a different visual to add impact to the message. 

5.  Created mockups that showed each of the posters in an environment. 

The campaign provides some facts, and a positive reason to not drink prior to driving.  Each one represents a problem carried by driving under the influence.
