Axure Software Solutions approached us to work hand in hand with their UI team to create a look and feel that is Mac friendly for their latest Axure RP 5.6.0 Mac version.
After all, Joe and I are hard core Mac users (Joe’s been using it since 1984). We think we may know a thing or two about the crazy creative Mac users. Our goal was to help Axure create a user experience that is as Mac-friendly as possible, within their programming language and functionality.
This rebranding project called for strategy work to differentiate the company’s corporate logo from its product logo while redefining the company’s changing internal and external attributes.
Axure Software Solutions has an existing logo design but its corporate logo cannot be applied to its product, Axure RP. Our challenge was to create an identity design that is unique and reflective of its software capabilities while tying into its pre-established corporate brand.
Axure RP is a rapid prototyping software tool that covers 4 important components: wireframing, prototyping, specifications and collaboration. To establish brand continuity, we used the letter “a”, the blue and green colors from the corporate logo. We then developed a series of “dancing” pages with gradating blue color that represents the 3-step process of wireframing, prototyping and specifications. The 2 leaves with a single water droplet represent nurture and growth from the collaborative aspects of the software.
Each design element within the logo is carefully crafted to allow for scalability and further icon developments within the brand; from web, PowerPoint presentations, and product features to user interface design.
