E Unum Pluribus, the first US motto, states that “out of many, we are one.” An idea that all humans are tied to one another from our creation. This bridge honors the existence of those different from us and encourages empathy among men. As a memorial to the soldiers of World War II, it resides in Harper’s Ferry, WV where the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers meet and become one mighty force.
