ux design, brand identity, visit tybee, savannah‘s beach, our goal, Visit Tybee aims to provide the best planning services for your trip to Tybee Island Beach in Savannah, GA. Our website intends to make planning and mapping your trip effortless. Our companion mobile app offers on-the-fly planning and navigating your route in real-time, while storing and sharing memories. Website UX The existing website was re-designed and included a brand identity re-design + new icon system. What we learned, Survey respondents cited their primary needs when using a destination travel site to plan their trip, as the ability to locate places to stay, eat, and park. Addressing user needs, The website incorporates an interactive map so users can explore the area, plan where to stay, eat, what to do, and where to park, and save their trip plans. Mobile App UX, This travel companion app keeps the user in mind, offering on-the-go routing options, restaurants and specials, the ability to sync your saved maps from the web, save new maps, and store and share photos straight from the app. User Flow, Discover, allows users to search for places to eat, play, shop, stay, and park using an in-depth filtering system. Users can view photos of their chosen locations, map routes, and save these routes for later. The information can be viewed on a map or as a list. My Trips, is the personalized system for users to store the trips they‘ve taken or plan to take. It saves in a map or list view, and captures every detail of the trip. Guide, offers all of the relevant information a user would need to know for their trip. From parking, to beach rules and info, to special events happening in the area. My Photos allows users to save memories from their trip experiences, and catalogue them by date, location, or any other grouping they see fit. They can also share these images with friends via direct links to social media, email, and text message. The Brand Tybee Island Beach has distinct qualities that contribute to a feeling specific to Tybee. Taking elements from this experience, we created a visual language that embodies Tybee Island. Logo re-design Tybee Island is home to the sea turtle, and their conservation is a large part of Tybee‘s ecology. The handwritten typeface personifies the playfulness associated with Tybee.
