Carnival is a series of illustrations created for the AIFOS agency in Miami Florida

Design Process:
Carnival is a festival. Inspired from a plethora of characteristics, I decided to use the kaleidoscope effect - a combination of movement, color, texture and pattern. It was exciting, almost addictive in experimenting with patterns at first, but then I had to find another approach in order to create something that communicates the spirit of the carnival more effectively. Breaking the structure of the pattern with the combination of a hand drawing effect worked better and since I had to create an illustration, I decided to use the patterns as skin on the bodies.
Carnival is about letting yourself go and having fun and that's the spirit I wanted to create.
