Abokichi is a Japanese take-out restaurant located in Toronto, becoming increasingly popular for their Okazu -a miso chili-oil- and other tantalizing Japanese snack foods. Constantly experimenting with new ideas and collaborating with other food purveyors, they are slowly growing a name for themselves in the Toronto food scene.
Abokichi came to Makeshift Collective to design and build a booth for the One-of-a-Kind Trade Show in Toronto. Together we designed a booth inspired by japanese motifs and stylings. For the build we were excited to explore traditional methods of joinery and construction, which we utilized for much of the major structure.
