This is a photography project that I did entitled "Desolation".  I used this project as an opportunity to explore my surrounding area, and really explore the road less traveled.  I picked locations that are normally over run with people, and I photographed them on days that were rainy and overcast.  This mood mixed with the lack of life created a set of images that are haunting and eerie.  

The image above is one of my personal favorites from the set because you can see traces of human life through the footprints that remain in the sand even when no one is there.  The weather on this particular day was very stormy which brought challenges when it came to capturing this setting.  However, I corrected a lot of the work in Adobe LightRoom, which also allowed me to make the collection cohesive as a whole.
