I often long and miss the setting and characteristics of my home town. This image was created and inspired from a time when I was walking around in Little Italy, San Diego. During this time a familiar and heartwarming smell hit me, the smell of earth, wheat, and corn. This smell reminded me of home, and the vast farmland. I remember closing my eyes and imagining standing in a field. For a brief moment, I felt as if I was experiencing a place and setting that I hold close to my heart. This daydream was quickly interrupted when passing pedestrians bumped into me, car horns beeped, and the smell faded. This experience gave me the idea of recreating the juxtaposition of farmland within a city.
