This is made in the summer of 2012. At beginning, it was a rotoscope assignment, but I decided to design my stylized character for this project. I imagined a background story for her. She is a little fairy who can dance on a pool. Based on this idea, I changed a lot of gestures of original video because the action of my character is more swift, quicker, and more graceful than live action. In middle of making this animation, I came up with a new idea that is making her become a lotus during her performance! It is an enjoyable process to create this animation.
I drew frame by frame in Photoshop and compose in AfterEffects.
It won the "Best of The Show" in 2013 "Far From Home" exhibition, Held by Savannah College of Art and Design.
