Tea Merchant of Freddy & Sons

OBJECTIVES AND GOALS OF THE REBRANDING:
The project is based on designing a visual identity for a tea shop located in the historic city centre of Bremen (Germany), called “Schnoor”, meaning string. To find an identity, the client wanted to begin with the logo and go from there onward. The company’s name is “Fredk. Möller Söhne” but the client wanted to use the following name for this Tea Shop: “Tea Merchant of Freddy & Sons" accompanied by an emblem and “trading since 1793” to emphasis its old heritage and create trust. The idea was to create an image of a traditional upper market tea merchant with a strong contemporary style of graphic elements. They aim to expand this business to further cities in Germany and maybe beyond.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
The location of the shop is in the busy historic centre of Bremen and the place has many tourists wandering through the small streets along old buildings. The client wanted to create a shop and products that will be ideal to bring home as a present. They are also aiming to have regular customers from the city and the surrounding areas.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
We didn’t want to remain in the city of Bremen, but create a brand for further locations in Germany and maybe abroad, It is a project starting from scratch and aiming to create a unique identity to a natural product so old and historic, but still enjoying a popularity like never before.
