I started this project on my IPad using an app called Sketch Club. I figured I'd go a more traditional route and use a light blue underdrawing.
Spent some time refining the design, cleaning it up and trying to make a more attractive face for the figure.
Established a basic color pallet and laid down the flat tones.
Taking the drawing into Photoshop, I did the final rendering and refinement. I decided to make the tattoos more curvy.
Added some text for the final touch and used a purple background to push the gold adornments and tan skin more more.
