Designing packaging for action toys is very specific: the goal is to create something bright, busy and bold. For this line, I conveyed a sense of movement by using line graphics and angled box structures. The Scatter Blast toy was especially unique, as it was the first foam dart grenade on the market. We needed to ensure that the packaging showed what this item was and how it worked right up front; to achieve this, I added explosive graphics and dart cutouts that mimicked the product in use.
