I hadn't done an illustration just for fun in a long long time. So I decided, It was time. This took me over a month (I spent approximately 15 - 30 minute per day). Since, It was an extremely experimental piece I decided to make this piece purely off Adobe Illustrator. 

And the story goes, It all started with a rough sketch on Photoshop (Yes, everything starts with Photoshop).

And then I transferred it over to illustrator and used the blob brush tool to ink out the line work for my characters. 

After intense trial and error, research and procrastination (obviously), I finally convinced myself that this was my final background.  

After many color scripts and style choices, I took this turn of unpredictable colors as my direction for this piece. 

And finally, combined them all together and the piece was ready, or so I thought. 

Something was missing, and of course it was the final Photoshop treatment. So I did, added depth of field and COLOR DODGE (I love color dodge).
