The passport is a type of book with empty pages to be stamped and marked by officials, signifying part of the identity of the holder - where he or she has been to and come from. The country is part of the passport holder and he or she is part of the country. In the age of uncertainty, one should not be a viewer but an actor.
Therefore, the design focuses on the action of opening the passport, which completes an image spreading over two pages - the British flag on the front and back covers; the contoured British Isles on the first two pages; and different outlined counties on visa pages. The two samples are of Greater London (where I now study) and Worcestershire (where I first lived in this country). By revealing the geographic components of this country, I believe Britain will still be Great if everyone from different parts comes together to contribute to the whole image of their country’s future.
