The fusion of African, European and native indigenous rhythms influenced traditional melodies and festivities in various regions in Colombia. The multiculturalism of the country has enabled the development of distinctive music genres and dances. The vivacious mix of sounds, rhythms and movements in Colombian folklore are translated into colorful abstract paper cutouts, which are then applied as scarf designs.
