Visual Culture meets concepts in readability
After taking a class called Visual Culture--an emerging form of holistic scholarship--I was inspired to make a book using two of the readings. Intent was to further information retention by making the body copy itself a part of the journey of navigating the visual of a page. The reader is forced to slow and therefore absorb the information contextually, in contrast to the usual linear fashion. Metaphrasis is the act of translation. The form is one rooted in this process.
