In a child's room, furniture are important objects for their development, it is attractive to look for new pieces to accompany their growth. Regina is a companion to keep and protect their dearest objects, and at the same time to be a friend of trust. Made of wood, without metal assemblies, it is a functional furniture with the ideal proportions for a child between 3 - 6 years. With ample space to store toys, clothes, books, etc; and a blackboard area to personalize your furniture, Regina becomes a safe playmate and an ally in the cleanliness of the room.
Inspiration
Why Regina?
When we are children, toys, clothes, school supplies are "watered" throughout the room, is a natural part of our childhood, we are always reminded to keep our objects stored and our room clean, action that sometimes becomes tedious. Seeing this need, the idea arises to design an attractive and safe drawer for a child, who has fun keeping his belongings by becoming a friend rather than a piece of furniture. Inspired by a 3-year-old girl who loves to play and explore, the idea of designing this furniture with dimensions suitable for her, security but above all out of the ordinary with anyone who could play and say "Rawrrr" was born.

Process
Once the proposal was defined in the sketches, it was modeled digitally and a cardboard scale test was made using Laser Cutting to define measurements, assemblies and general shape. When reviewing and making small changes, we proceeded to Cut in CNC Router in Triplay of 15 mm thickness. When the cut was ready, the wood was treated (sanding, lacquer coating, painting) to obtain the final product.

Assemble
Regina is designed to be assembled without mechanical joints, this for the protection of the user, both the child and the parents, as well as being a goodness of the material that adds a pizaca of fun when assembling, adding its ease of transportation being able to compact it when the pieces are disassembled. It is a plus in the design of this furniture to be so simple to assemble that you do not need long manuals.

Regina fits perfectly in any home, being a 100% useable finished product which will fulfill its function of making a happy girl or boy, a project very enriching, challenging and fun to develop with a defined objective: design the best birthday present for Regina .
